About Me

For two decades, I've worked in a variety of photographic industry positions, but it was the sports played by my two athletic sons that ignited my passion for sports photography. From AYSO soccer to club volleyball to high school sports, I've literally shot hundreds of thousands of images over the years.

As a professional, I continue to photograph high school sports and have also photographed a Heisman Trophy winner, Olympic swimmers, pro surfers, NCAA Division 1 college athletes, as well as numerous NCAA Division 1-bound high school athletes.

My images have appeared on the websites of USA Today, Los Angeles Times, SBNation, and VolleyballMag.com, the not so famous Beach Reporter newspaper, as well as on numerous Instagram accounts of athletes and various sports media.

When I'm not on the beach or sidelines photographing, I'm probably cycling, swimming, surfing, skiing or wishing I was.  Back in the day, I was a nationally ranked age-group triathlete and competed in the Ironman Triathlon in Kona, Hawaii in 2008. I live and work in Los Angeles with my awesome wife, Wendy Kirk, an entertainment attorney.
